Ocean Equities Research: Review of 2012 and Outlook for 2013
On a macro level, major potash producers are currently expanding brownfield projects along with developing greenfield projects, and there is a sense that there could be potential for future supply surplus. Saying that, with the oligopoly faced in the potash market, Verde will act as a supplier to the domestic Brazilian buyers of KCl, allowing them to step away from the reliance they currently have on Canpotex and/or the Belarusian Potash Company (BPC).
